Thanks to Udi Tirosh and his awesome site www.diyphotography.net which features tips, tutorials and howto's on everything photography related. Defintely a site worth following. I've found the info to be incredibly usefull and inspirational.

Occam's Razor: Essential Question production photos featured at OnlyinHouston

Our last scene (Essential Question) was shot, on location, at one of Houston's premier ad agencies STANANDLOU Advertising. There I met the man behind the curtain, Lou Congelio, who is also a board member of OnlyinHouston.

A look at noise in low light for low, mid, and high ISO

I learned an interesting lesson. When confronted with low light (light meter didn't even register for 24fps and ISO320--which is what the digital video was shooting and this wasn't any old high def either. Check out Red when you get the chance!)

Time for the Texas Children's Hospital Annual Fun Run

I've been invited back to freelance the TCH Fun run again. Sadly my partner in crime, last year, will not be able to make it--will miss you Dee! The good news is that I've wrangled in my aspiring photographer nephew, Lance. At least he agreed during Christmas--mental note: Remind Lance of the event next week!

My friend, Wonedwesson has written a compelling screenplay and started filming yesterday. I had the pleasure to meet more of Houston's talented film indsutry players: Pat Henderson, Robert Peana, Manuel Cantu, Scott Jacobs, and Abenezer Goshu.
